From February 17th to 21st the fifth edition of the “Gastronomy Forum” will be held for the first time in Girona. Up to now this pioneering Cuisine Congress, which started in 1999, had been held in Vic.

This Cuisine Congress is one of the most complete ever seen, with more than 40 sessions of all kinds and over 50 internationally renowned speakers. We will be able to enjoy seeing acclaimed chefs giving live cookery demonstrations in their masterly sessions. This also means that the lucky participants of the Cuisine Workshops will live the demonstrations really close.

For the first time, the Forum will also be open during the weekend: plenty of activities of all sorts will delight children and adults, making gastronomy accessible to everyone. There will be cuisine worskops for children and youngsters, demonstrations, food tastings in the Tecnoforum... in brief, activities that will entertain and appeal to all.



The 2007 Girona’s Gatronomy Forum aims to become the most important Cuisine Congress in Europe... are you going to miss it?

500, 2000, 5000 and even 8000 pieces jigsaw puzzles!!! As a result of a birthday gift some years ago, Jaume got fond of puzzles and today there are around 50 throughout the hotel.

The 8000 pieces puzzle is the one which most attracts people’s attention. It is a reproduction of Velázquez’s “The Surrender of Breda” that is exhibited in the Function Room in the first floor. Amongst the larger puzzles, we can find one of Florence, an Old World Map from one of the first editions, Black Forest castles, etc. For all tastes.

He is currently finishing two New York puzzles and we should find a place for them. If you visit us, we’ll be pleased to listen to your advices.

“Girona, Temps de Flors” (Girona, Flower Time) has invited us once again to enjoy the city’s old and new surroundings. For yet another year, Girona’s old quarter and all the monumental heritage have turned into a garden of gardens.

Flowers of shapes, textures and colours of various hues have recreated imaginative landscapes and floral arrangements amidst the centuries-old stones. And once again, nature and surroundings in the valley’s beautiful landscape (Vall de Sant Daniel) has given us an opportunity to enjoy this great natural garden at the same time that we could rest after the walk in the shade of the trees.

If you couldn’t come this time, I strongly recommend you to try it next year: it is really worth it and our senses get greatly satisfied.
